The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has officially started contacting applicants who submitted their applications for the 2,014 advertised teacher replacement positions. These vacancies, which closed on May 19, 2025, aim to fill positions left vacant through natural attrition.

A total of 2,014 teaching slots were advertised, with 1,309 positions allocated to primary schools, 32 to junior schools, and 673 to secondary schools. Successful candidates will be hired on permanent and pensionable (PNP) terms. TSC Invites Teachers for Document Verification in 2,014 Replacements

To proceed with the recruitment process, TSC is now conducting a rigorous document verification exercise. Applicants are required to present both original and clear photocopies of their academic and professional documents during this stage. Required Documents for Primary School Teacher Applicants:

  • National Identity Card
  • TSC Certificate of Registration
  • P1 Certificate
  • Upgrade Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (UDPTE), if applicable
  • KCPE and KCSE certificates (including all attempts)
  • Letter of Certification of Results from KNEC, if applicable
  • Primary and secondary school leaving certificates
  • Other relevant academic or professional testimonials
  • National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) Card, if applicable
  • Sworn affidavit to explain any discrepancies in names

Required Documents for Junior and Secondary School Teacher Applicants:

  • National Identity Card
  • TSC Certificate of Registration
  • Diploma or Degree Certificate in Education and official academic transcripts
  • KCPE and KCSE certificates (including all attempts)
  • Letter of Certification of Results from KNEC, if applicable
  • Primary and secondary school leaving certificates
  • Relevant supporting testimonials
  • NCPWD Card, if applicable
  • Sworn affidavit to clarify name inconsistencies

Serving intern teachers awarded 50 marks in the TSC score sheet are only required to present their national ID during verification.

Applicants with disabilities must clearly state their disability status and describe the nature of the disability to assist in appropriate placement.

Following the verification process, each TSC Sub-County Director will compile a merit list of applicants whose documents have been validated. These lists will be available to the public upon request, in line with the Data Protection Act, 2019.

TSC has emphasized that only candidates who meet all requirements and provide the necessary documentation will be considered for final placement. The Commission urges applicants to remain vigilant and report any fraudulent activities related to the recruitment process.
