Full List of Documents Required for Teacher Replacement Verification, The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has officially begun notifying applicants shortlisted for the ongoing verification of documents in the 2,014 teacher replacement exercise, whose application window closed on May 19, 2025.
This recruitment drive aims to fill 2,014 vacancies left through natural attrition, including 1,309 posts in primary schools, 32 in junior secondary schools, and 673 in secondary schools. All successful candidates will be hired on permanent and pensionable terms.
Minimum Academic Requirements:
- Primary school positions: P1 Certificate
- Junior and secondary school positions: Diploma in Education
As part of the recruitment process, TSC has outlined a mandatory document verification exercise. All shortlisted candidates must present both original and legible photocopies of academic and professional documents.
Documents Required for Primary School Teacher Verification:
- National ID card
- TSC registration certificate
- Upgrade Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (UDPTE) or relevant certification (if applicable)
- PTE Certificate
- KCSE and KCPE certificates (include all attempts)
- KNEC certification of results (if applicable)
- Primary and secondary school leaving certificates
- Other relevant academic testimonials
- NCPWD card (if applicable)
- Sworn affidavit to explain name discrepancies
Documents Required for Junior & Secondary School Teacher Verification:
- National ID card
- TSC registration certificate
- Diploma/Degree in Education and official transcripts
- KCSE and KCPE certificates (include all attempts)
- KNEC certification of results (if applicable)
- Primary and secondary school leaving certificates
- Supporting academic testimonials
- NCPWD card (if applicable)
- Sworn affidavit for name inconsistencies
Special Guidelines:
- Serving intern teachers, awarded 50 marks in the TSC score sheet, are only required to present their National ID during verification.
- Applicants with disabilities must indicate their disability status and the nature of the disability to assist in appropriate placement.
Upon completion of the verification process, the TSC Sub-County Directors will compile a merit list of all validated candidates. These lists will be accessible to the public upon request, in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2019, and without compromising the integrity of the recruitment process.
