APPLY NOW IEBC Hiring 7 Positions 2025 Vacancies
The Selection Panel for the Recruitment of Nominees for the Chairperson and Members of the IEBC invites applications from qualified individuals who meet the criteria set out in the Constitution and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Act as follows:
1. CHAIRPERSON OF THE IEBC (Ref. SP/IEBC/1/2025) — ONE (1) VACANCY
In accordance with Article 166(3) of the Constitution and section 6(1) of the IEBC Act, candidates for the Chairperson position must meet the following qualifications:
- Have at least fifteen years of experience as a superior court judge, or
- Possess fifteen years of experience in a distinguished legal career (academic, judicial, legal practitioner, etc.), or
- Accumulate fifteen years of experience combining the above qualifications.
- Meet the integrity requirements outlined in Chapter Six of the Constitution.
Additionally, under Article 88(2) of the Constitution, candidates are disqualified if, within the last five years, they have held or stood for election as:
- A Member of Parliament, county assembly, or a governing body of a political party, or
- Hold any State office.
2. MEMBER OF THE IEBC (Ref. SP/IEBC/2/2025) — SIX (6) VACANCIES
In accordance with section 6(2) of the IEBC Act, candidates for the Member position must:
- Hold a degree from a recognized university.
- Have at least ten years’ experience in areas such as electoral matters, management, finance, governance, public administration, law, ICT, or accounting.
- Meet the integrity standards required under Chapter Six of the Constitution.
Candidates will be disqualified if they have held or stood for election as a Member of Parliament, county assembly, or as a governing body member of a political party within the last five years, or hold any State office.

- A detailed curriculum vitae.
- Certified copies of academic and professional certificates.
- A copy of the National Identity Card or Passport.
- Relevant testimonials and supporting documents.
Applicants must provide current, valid clearances from:
- Kenya Revenue Authority.
- Higher Education Loans Board.
- Credit Reference Bureau.
- Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
- Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.
