TSC Announces 21,313 Teaching Promotion Vacancies – August 2025
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC), a constitutional body established under Article 237(1) of the Constitution, has officially opened applications for teacher promotions in August 2025. This recruitment targets qualified teachers and Curriculum Support Officers interested in advancing their careers according to the Commission’s Career Progression Guidelines.
Available positions include various levels such as Chief Principal, Senior Principal, Principal, Deputy Principal, Senior Lecturer, Senior Master, Secondary Teacher I, Senior Headteacher, Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, Senior Teacher, and Curriculum Support Officers among others.
A total of 21,313 vacancies have been advertised across different grades and TSC pay scales, including posts in regular schools, teacher training colleges (TTC), and special needs education (SNE). Some of the key positions and their vacancies include:
- Chief Principal (D5) – 105 vacancies
- Senior Principal (D4) – 496 vacancies
- Principal (D3) – 676 vacancies
- Deputy Principal II (D2) – 990 vacancies
- Senior Head Teacher (D1) – 1,414 vacancies
- Headteacher (C5) – 1,872 vacancies
- Deputy Head-Teacher II (C4) – 3,566 vacancies
- Senior Teacher I & II (C3 and C2) – over 12,000 combined vacancies
Interested and eligible applicants should submit their applications online via the TSC portal at www.teachersonline.go.ke by midnight on Monday, 25th August 2025. Manual submissions will not be accepted.
