NITA Launch Fully Funded TVET Scholarships for 2025- Apply now, Are you passionate about Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, or Solar energy work? The National Industrial Training Authority (NITA), in partnership with the Danish Government’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), is offering fully funded scholarships through the Kenya TVET Project 2025!
Whether you’re a Form Four leaver or a skilled artisan without formal certification, this is your golden opportunity to gain hands-on technical skills, receive nationally recognized certification, and build a successful career in the construction and energy sectors.
Scholarship Categories
NITA is offering three specialized training pathways under this program:
1. Regular Programs
- Target: Form Four leavers
- Duration: 2 terms in class + 3 months industrial attachment
2. Skill Upgrading Program
- Target: Skilled workers with industry experience but no formal training
- Duration: 3 months classroom training + 3 months industrial attachment
- Selection: Based on recommendations from the Kenya Building Construction, Timber & Furniture Industries Employees Union
3. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Assessment
- Target: Experienced workers without formal certificates
- Outcome: Recognition and certification of prior skills
Training Centre
- Location: NITA Athi River
- Intake: September 2025
- Certification:
- National Skills Certificate II (NSC II)
- Government Trade Tests – Grade III/II/I
Who Can Apply?
This opportunity is open to:
- Young artisans aged 18 to 35 working in construction and related trades without formal qualifications
- Form Four leavers with a D- (minus) and above interested in Plumbing, Carpentry, Solar, or Electrical work
- Women are strongly encouraged to apply
Fees & Support
- Tuition: FREE for all beneficiaries
- All trainees will undergo a three-month mandatory industrial attachment with support from project partners
