New Third Term School Calendar Dates 2024

Term Two
The second term is set to begin on April 29, 2024, and will extend until August 2, 2024, lasting for 14 weeks. A mid-term break is planned from June 20 to June 23, offering a short pause in the academic activities. The August holidays will follow, starting from August 5 to August 23, allowing students a three-week vacation.
Term Three
The third term will kick off with significant assessments. The Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) and the Kenya Intermediate Level Education Assessment are scheduled from October 28 to October 31. This term also marks the period for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams, which will take place from November 4 to November 22, over three weeks. After the exams, schools will close for the December holidays from November 25, 2024, to January 3, 2025, giving students a well-deserved ten-week break.
Teacher Training Colleges
The academic calendar for teacher training colleges, including Diplomas in Secondary Education, Primary Teacher Education, and Early Childhood Teacher Education, aligns with the general school calendar. Term one will run from January 8 to April 5, followed by a three-week April holiday from April 8 to April 26. Term two will begin on April 29 and end on August 2, with a four-week August holiday from August 5 to August 30. The third term will span from August 26 to November 8, totaling 11 weeks. The December holidays for teacher training colleges will last from November 11, 2024, to January 3, 2025, providing an eight-week break.
