Ministry Disburses JSS Capitation Funds for Second Term 2025, The Ministry of Education has officially disbursed the Free Day Junior School Education (FDJSE) capitation funds for Term 2 of 2025. Each learner in Junior Secondary Schools (JSS) will receive Ksh. 2,318.79, while every school will also get a basic allocation of Ksh. 84,205.29.
These allocations are based on data retrieved from NEMIS on April 24, 2025, at 6:30 PM.

NEMIS Compliance and Data Verification
All institutions must update learner records using their assessment numbers in NEMIS. Sub-County and County Directors will verify these details, as all disbursements are strictly NEMIS-based.
Financial Compliance and Legal Requirements
Board of Management (BoM) members are legally required to ensure:
- Full compliance with the Public Finance Management Act, 2012, and the Public Procurement and Disposal Act, 2015.
- Strict adherence to the MOE’s Handbook on Financial Management for Public Institutions.
Communication Protocol
All official communication with the Ministry of Education regarding capitation must include the school’s UIC NEMIS code.
Circular Distribution
All County Directors of Education are instructed to disseminate this circular to all public junior secondary school heads within their regions.
