Mathematics/ Chemistry Teacher Vacancy – At Nova Pioneer
About the Role

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Exceptional Lessons: Teach and deliver real-world, enquiry-based Mathematics/Chemistry lessons that meet Kenya curriculum requirements.
- Build Positive Relationships: Maintain constructive and professional relationships with students, their families, and colleagues.
- Collaborate on Lesson Plans: Work with the Learning Design Team to review and update lesson plans as needed.
- Create an Optimal Learning Environment: Ensure your classroom is conducive to learning, organized, and developmentally appropriate.
- Infuse Joy in Learning: Make learning exciting and instill a passion for academic excellence in your students.
- Provide Accommodations: Offer necessary accommodations and modifications to support all students’ growth and success.
- Accountability for Student Mastery: Hold yourself accountable for students’ mastery of content and academic standards.
- Integrate Technology: Use interactive technology to enhance instructional delivery.
- Set Ambitious Goals: Set and communicate rigorous goals for students and provide effective feedback.
- Model Expected Behavior: Provide consistent rewards/consequences for behavior and model expected behavior at all times.
- Support Organizational Goals: Meet the goals of our rapidly-growing organization.
- Duties and Support: Serve as teacher on duty, support behavior interventions, and capture and articulate students’ progress.
- Extracurricular Involvement: Support clubs, societies, and other co-curricular activities to develop well-rounded students.
- Homeroom Teacher: Serve as a homeroom teacher when needed.
About You
- Qualifications:
- TSC certification and a relevant degree in Education.
- Strictly 3+ years of teaching experience.
- Skills:
- Great Communicator: Provide clear and effective written and verbal communication.
- Flexible and Adaptable: Handle uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity well.
- Problem Solver: Proactively identify issues and find appropriate solutions.
- Cultural Fit: Excited about our organizational culture, embrace mutual vulnerability, and thrive on feedback.
