Kenya Power Internship 2025 Intake: Apply for Paid Industrial Attachment Opportunities Before July 28, Kenya Power and Lighting Company KPLC (Kenya Power) has officially opened applications for its September to November 2025 Industrial Attachment Program, offering students across Kenya a chance to gain valuable hands-on experience in one of the country’s most vital sectors — energy and utilities.

This initiative aligns with the Government of Kenya’s youth empowerment and skills development agenda. It offers continuing students the opportunity to bridge classroom learning with real-world experience in a professional work environment.

Program Overview: Who Should Apply?

The attachment runs for three months (September–November 2025) and targets continuing students in technical and non-technical courses.

Eligible Categories:

1. Undergraduate Degree Students

  • Technical Fields: Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Telecommunications, ICT, and related engineering disciplines
  • Non-Technical Fields: Business Administration, Finance, Procurement, Human Resources, Law, Communication, etc.

2. Diploma Students

  • Applicants from both technical and non-technical disciplines relevant to Kenya Power operations

3. Craft Certificate Students (Technical Only)

  • Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Power Option)
  • Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
  • Civil or Building Engineering
  • Plumbing

Objectives of the Internship

  • Bridge the gap between theory and practical application
  • Boost employability with real work experience
  • Introduce interns to the energy industry and its national significance
  • Promote a culture of learning through mentorship and skill-building
  • Support academic requirements by fulfilling institutional attachment needs

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be currently enrolled in a recognized academic program (Degree, Diploma, or Craft Certificate)
  • Be pursuing a relevant course listed above
  • Be available full-time from September to November 2025
  • Submit a valid introduction letter from their institution, signed and dated
  • Uphold professional conduct and adhere to Kenya Power’s ethical standards
