This role is ideal for an individual who can support students individually and create engaging, life-enriching lessons. As a P1 Teacher, you will inspire and motivate students, helping them excel in their studies and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive Lesson Delivery: Present lessons in a well-rounded manner, utilizing visual and audio tools to enhance learning experiences.
- Interactive Learning: Provide individualized instruction and promote interactive learning methods to cater to each student’s needs.
- Educational Content Creation: Develop and distribute educational materials, including notes, summaries, and assignments.
- Student Assessment: Regularly assess and record students’ progress, providing grades and constructive feedback.
- Classroom Management: Maintain an orderly and tidy classroom environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers, parents, and stakeholders, and participate in regular meetings.
- Activity Planning: Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events.
- Student Welfare: Observe and understand students’ behavior, reporting any suspicions of neglect or abuse.
- Professional Development: Attend seminars and conferences to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
- Additional Duties: Perform any other duties assigned by management within your capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor of Education Degree or Diploma in Primary Education.
- Certification: Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
- Experience: 2 – 5 years of teaching experience with competency in the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
- Skills:
- Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong IT and reporting skills.
- Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational guidelines.
- Creative, energetic, well-organized, and committed.
- Strong moral values and discipline.
- Subjects: Ability to teach English, Business Studies, CRE, and Science Technology.
- Residency: Residents in Nakuru are particularly encouraged to apply.
