Job Summary

The Research Assistant role is pivotal in supporting data collection activities that inform academic and administrative decision-making processes. The primary responsibility is to gather and analyze both qualitative and quantitative data to support institutional research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct surveys, interviews, and focus groups to collect data from internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy by adhering to established data entry protocols.
Assist in data analysis.
Prepare detailed reports and visual presentations of findings for various university stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with faculty members, administrative staff, and other research assistants to support ongoing projects.
Follow ethical guidelines and university policies regarding data privacy and research conduct.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.

Skills:

Proficiency in data collection methods and tools (e.g., surveys, qualitative interviews, online data collection platforms).
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Analytical skills with experience using statistical software (e.g., SPSS, STATA, R) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel) are added advantages.

Experience:

Prior experience in research, data analysis, or a related field is preferred.
