About Makueni County Public Service Board
The Makueni County Public Service Board is a corporate body established under Section 57 of the County Governments Act 2012. Its mandate includes appointing individuals to hold or act in public service positions within the county.
Position Overview
To strengthen the capacity of the Public Service, the Board is seeking competent and qualified individuals to fill the role of Photojournalist Assistant III.
Salary Scale: Kshs. 26,900 x 1,110 – 28,010 x 1,120 – 29,130 x 1,150 – 30,280 x 1,170 – 31,450 x 1,250 – 32,700 x 1,300 – 34,000 x 1,380 – 35,380 p.m.
Terms: Permanent and Pensionable
Key Responsibilities
- Taking and processing both still and video photographs and footage.
- Writing captions for photos and videos.
- Documenting news, information, and features through photography.
- Scanning and digitizing photographs and footage.
Qualifications
Required:
- Diploma in Mass Communication, Journalism, Communication Studies, or Public Relations from a recognized institution.
- Certificate of membership to a professional body from a recognized institution.
- Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
