Overview:
Shopit Kenya is seeking a proactive and impact-focused Accounts Intern. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various accounting and financial tasks within a dynamic and growing company.
Job Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports.
- Tax Filing: Ensure timely filing of tax returns to comply with statutory requirements.
- Payables Management: Maintain records of all payable accounts.
- Daily Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate daily financial reports.
- Trade Viability: Evaluate and ensure the viability of trades prior to approval to safeguard the company’s interests.
- Client Credit Management: Manage client credit accounts efficiently.
- Invoice Payment Allocation: Ensure prompt and accurate allocation of invoice payments through various payment modes.
- Financial Reconciliation: Prepare periodic financial reconciliation reports to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Document Archiving: Archive all trade-related documents received for future reference and audit purposes.
Job Requirements:
- Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in both oral and written English.
- Computer Skills: Must be proficient in using computers and the internet.
- Work Schedule: Must be willing to work six days a week (Monday-Saturday).
- Accuracy and Efficiency: Must possess a high level of accuracy and efficiency in task completion.
- Responsibility and Discipline: Must be responsible, self-disciplined, and have a strong sense of urgency.
- Certification: Must have certification in either CPA (Certified Public Accountant), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), or KATC (Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board).
