Founded in 2017, Maisha Meds has developed the largest digital network of private pharmacies and clinics across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria, and Zambia using their mobile software. This platform enhances business operations for healthcare providers by managing sales, inventory, and patient tracking, while also reimbursing providers for delivering high-quality care for malaria, family planning, and HIV prevention at reduced costs.

Responsibilities:

The Customer Support Intern will play a key role in on-boarding new facilities and managing all customer interactions through the CRM system. Responsibilities include providing consistent support for all Maisha Meds products and services (POS and Loyalty), maintaining client documents and contracts, driving patient interactions on the Loyalty program, and generating referrals. Additionally, the intern will engage with the product/tech team to provide insights and innovations, collect feedback from pharmacies, and refine insights to make them actionable. Other tasks may be assigned by the supervisor as needed.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have a diploma in communication, pharmacy, or a related field. A strong academic record is essential, and prior experience in data entry and customer relations is highly valued. Proficiency in Excel, ODK, and other research tools is a plus. Applicants should demonstrate high professionalism, integrity, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and presentation skills. They must be able to work independently and meet sales goals. Excellent communication skills in Kiswahili and English are crucial. Traits such as humility, empathy, and a sense of humor are highly appreciated as they reflect the team’s values and culture.

Remuneration and Benefits:

This full-time, three-month internship offers compensation commensurate with experience and skills. The intern will report to the Manager of Operations and will be based in Kisumu, with frequent travel to various locations.
