- Salary: KES 35,000/month

About Terre des Hommes Netherlands (TdH NL): Terre des Hommes Netherlands aims to protect children from exploitation and empower them to make their voices heard. TdH NL focuses on addressing child exploitation in various forms, including sexual exploitation, child labor, trafficking, and ensuring child protection during humanitarian crises. Internship Objectives: The HR Intern will gain practical experience in international employment laws and HR projects. Working closely with the HRBP-Africa, the intern will support HR programs, processes, and systems in alignment with local regulations. The intern will also contribute to specific HR projects, such as Recruitment, Onboarding, Policy review, and HRMIS implementation.
Position in the Organization: The HR Intern will report to and work under the guidance of the HRBP-Africa region based in Nairobi.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Stay updated on employment labor laws and HR regulations in Africa.
- Collaborate with HRBP to review and update HR policies and the Handbook.
- Assist with data cleaning and upload necessary files to the HR system Bamboo, ensuring data protection compliance.
- Manage job postings on various platforms and screen job applications.
- Update onboarding guidelines and conduct new hire evaluations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a bachelor’s/master’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- Ongoing CHRP qualification studies are an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in French is a plus.
- Familiarity with HR Information Systems is beneficial.
