Key Responsibilities:

1. Support E-Learning and Content Development:

  • Develop and support e-learning initiatives in alignment with curriculum design.
  • Create and maintain digital content that enhances the educational experience for students.
  • Collaborate with other educators to integrate e-learning solutions effectively across various subjects.
  • Evaluate and update e-learning materials to ensure they meet current educational standards and requirements.

2. Innovation and Digital Learning:

  • Implement innovative solutions to improve the use of digital learning within the school.
  • Stay updated with the latest educational technologies and methodologies to continuously improve teaching practices.
  • Foster a culture of innovation among students and staff by encouraging the exploration of new digital tools and resources.
  • Organize and lead workshops or training sessions to introduce new digital learning innovations.

3. Technology Use and Safety:

  • Ensure the safe, secure, and ethical use of technology in learning environments.
  • Develop and enforce policies related to digital literacy and cybersecurity for students and staff.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on digital safety and responsible internet use.
  • Monitor and address any issues related to the misuse of technology to maintain a safe learning environment.

4. ICT Services Support:

  • Provide first-line support and maintenance for ICT services within the school.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure seamless operation of digital tools and resources.
  • Maintain and update the school’s ICT infrastructure, including hardware and software.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for advanced technical support and services when necessary.

5. Classroom Support and Training:

  • Assist teachers and students in the effective use of digital literacy devices.
  • Conduct training sessions for learners to enhance their digital literacy skills.
  • Provide ongoing support to educators in integrating ICT into their teaching practices.
  • Develop instructional materials and guides to support the use of digital tools in the classroom.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education with a specialization in ICT.
  • Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

2. Experience:

  • At least 3 years of demonstrable teaching experience.
  • Proven ability to integrate ICT with education, particularly in e-learning and content development.
  • Experience in developing and implementing digital learning strategies within an educational setting.

3. Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of educational technologies and digital learning platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate in the use of digital tools.
  • Effective communication skills to support and train students and staff in ICT usage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common educational goals.
